Switchstance EP - Casey Hogan : 11th Hour Technology

Excellent and original fifth release from Californian based Immigrant Records. NY based Casey Hogan (who collaborated with ADNY on the Levia album last year), presents four cuts of spatial yet funky cone pushing techno/house with great floor appeal. 'G4' and 'Gifts' follow a deep more twisted sound, with a real late night feel, while 'Victoria' maintains a solid rhythm that rolls around while the bass slides and shunts in a way that will work any techno/house floor into a frenzy. Standout of the lot though has to be 'Priority'. With a chugging bass-line, crisp jacking percussion, twisted vocal snippets, and breakdown into a killer synth.-line it has become one my favourite tracks in a long time.
