Aril Brikha - Departure in Time      (Transmat)

It has been some time since the last release on this seminal label (the Microworlds EP last year), and this is an all together deeper and more contemporary offering. 'On and On' drives a staccato bass-line into the spatial loops of the rest of the track, before mutating at the end. 'Headhunter' is a far harder with a broken beat and almost Beyer like bass line and percussion looped right till the end. Midway, some of the most beautiful Detroit pads come in, and perhaps that is the best way to sum up this release. Beautiful, but with full floor appeal.
