Crispin J Glover - Fried/Thin Ice      (Paper)

The rate of Paper releases seem to be increasing as of late, but the quality has yet to dwindle (and hopefully never will). What Crispin delivers here is two tracks of jazzy 80's-esque electro funk. 'Fried' is fuelled along by a guitar bass-line, scat vocals and 80's keyboards. 'Thin Ice' begins with huge breakbeats that yield to a massive bass-line and more of those 80's style keyboards. The track progresses with many breaks, twist and turns before a solid 4/4 beat kicks in and finishes everything off. All together a very pleasant release that may not appeal to everyone, but does not fall short of the standard that Paper has set for itself with past releases.
